Est. Coventry, MMXVII
Sharp lines. Hot towels. Twenty minutes of peace and quiet.
Walk-ins welcome before midday. After that, chair 3 is usually waiting.
The Craft
A good fade is not fast. It is patient.
Marco, Dan and Josh have around thirty years on the clippers between them. Every cut starts with a two-minute consultation, because the best haircut is the one you asked for, not the one we felt like doing. Guards, blades and combs are barbicided between every single client, no exceptions.
The Ritual
The hot towel shave has not changed since 1930. We see no reason to start now.
Two steamed towels, a proper badger-brush lather, a cut-throat razor stropped that morning, then a cold towel and balm to close the pores. Twenty-eight quid and you will float out of the door.
House Rules
Five questions we answer most weeks, settled here so your twenty minutes stay quiet.
Walk-ins are welcome before midday, Tuesday to Saturday, and Sunday (10am to 2pm) is walk-ins only. After midday it is safer to book: call 01234 567 890 and take your pick of the chairs. Either way, chair 3 is usually waiting.
We book 45 minutes for every fade, because a good fade is patient, not fast. Every cut starts with a two-minute consultation and ends with a hot towel, a straight-razor neckline and a glass of something cold. The skin fade is £22.
Under 12s are £14, Tuesday to Thursday, and the OAP scissor cut is £15 before noon. There is also the Father & Son at £35: two cuts, one appointment, zero arguments, with the lad treated like a proper client, cape and consultation included.
The full ritual: two steamed towels, a proper badger-brush lather, a cut-throat razor stropped that morning, then a cold towel and balm to close the pores. It has not changed since 1930 and we see no reason to start now.
Yes. Gift cards are made for the man who books nothing for himself, and we take card and contactless. While you are in, house pomades and beard oils start from £9 at the counter. Students, ask about Student Tuesdays.
